Rusell D. Greiff is a nationally recognized senior education executive, edtech entrepreneur, higher ed innovator and impact investor with over 20-years leadership experience in digital learning.

Greiff is Founder/Principal of the eQ group, a strategic advisory and innovation studio focused on launching and scaling global online learning and future of work skilling products, platforms and partnerships with universities, corporations and large-scale impact organizations and foundations. He co-founded two successful Silicon Valley edtech startups, Grockit and Learnist, and headed global university degrees for 2U, Inc. (TWOU). Rusell has launched pioneering online certificates, stackable courses, and masters degrees with global universities including MIT, Rice, UVA, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, London School of Economics and Oxford. Previously, he served as founding Managing Director for 1776 Impact Fund focused on venture investing in education and future of work startups. Before his work in the private sector and with universities, Greiff served in the Clinton administration, launching the AmeriCorps program at the Corporation for National and Community Service. Rusell was a policy analyst for Senator John Kerry’s leadership staff in the Senate Democratic Policy Committee.

Rusell currently serves as a senior advisor and board member for numerous universities, impact venture funds, foundations, edtech startups, and non-profit organizations including SkillUp, a new private-public technology Coalition focused on employing frontline and mid-skill workers displaced by COVID-19. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and three sons.
