Recaps the discussion on the Future of Higher Education in the Age of AI at Georgia Tech on April 7th 2023.

Dr. Lane Lawley from Georgia Tech’s Teachable AI Lab gave an overview of GPT and language modeling. He discussed the architecture and iterative predictions of GPT, the importance of carefully designing past context through usage of prompts, and the role of GPT in finding patterns in text.

He also addressed the issue of GPT's confidence in assertion of factuality, the potential "problem of not" in context windows, and the fact that GPT is not an entity but could still possibly possess some aspects of intelligence.

The seminar explored the strengths and limitations of GPT and its impact on the future of education.
